#betd2020 Panel: Green Deal and Green Recovery – The road ahead for the EU and Africa
BETD partners with Re:publica Conference: A high level E-Panel is going to be held in the context of #rpCampus!
There is a global agreement to reach climate neutrality by 2050. Furthermore, a deep economic recession is looming in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, calling for a so-called Green Recovery.
To achieve this, the world more than ever needs a Global Green Deal with the transformation of the energy systems at its heart.
So, we need to ask ourselves: How can the recovery of the world economy correspond with a Global Green Deal? How can this be shaped by the Africa – EU partnership?
These questions need to be discussed in relation to the Africa – EU partnership, one of the key priorities of the new Commission. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the growing urgency of the climate crisis show at the same time how interdependent the two continents are.
